Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") form a legally binding agreement between you ("you", "your") and TaleBuzzer Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales ("TaleBuzzer", "we", "us", "our").

By creating an account or using TaleBuzzer, you confirm that you are aged 18 or over, that you have read and understood these Terms, and that you agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree, you must not use TaleBuzzer.

You confirm that any child profile you create belongs to a child in your care and that you are that child's parent or legal guardian.

TaleBuzzer is an AI-powered personalised storytelling platform for children aged 3 to 11. The service generates stories tailored to an individual child's name, age, interests, and reading level, using large language model technology provided by OpenAI.

TaleBuzzer is a tool to support reading engagement. It is not a substitute for formal education, a diagnostic tool, a therapeutic service, or a safeguarding service. Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising their child's use of the platform.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or withdraw features of the service at any time. We will give reasonable notice of material changes where possible.

You must provide accurate and complete information when registering. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

You must notify us immediately at hello@talebuzzer.com if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

You may create up to three child profiles per account, depending on your subscription plan. Child profiles are associated with your parent account and cannot be transferred to another account.

Free tier — your account includes three lifetime story generations at no cost. No credit card is required to use the free tier.

Premium subscription — paid monthly or annually. Provides 50 story credits per month, which reset on the first day of each billing period. Unused credits do not carry over.

Premium Plus subscription — paid monthly or annually. Provides unlimited story generation and all available features.

Subscription fees are charged in advance at the beginning of each billing period. Prices are displayed in GBP and include VAT where applicable.

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting hello@talebuzzer.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not provide refunds for partial periods unless required by law.

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have a 14-day right to cancel from the date of first subscription. If you generate stories during that 14-day period, you acknowledge that you have received the benefit of the service and no refund will be provided for that usage. If you have not used the service, you are entitled to a full refund within 14 days.

We reserve the right to change subscription prices. We will give at least 30 days' notice of any price increase by email. If you do not wish to accept the new price, you may cancel before the increase takes effect.

You agree to use TaleBuzzer only for its intended purpose of generating age-appropriate personalised stories for children in your care.

You must not use TaleBuzzer to generate content that is offensive, harmful, sexually explicit, violent, or otherwise inappropriate for children. Our content moderation systems are designed to prevent this, but if you find a way to generate inappropriate content, you must report it to us immediately at hello@talebuzzer.com and must not distribute or publish that content.

You must not attempt to reverse engineer, copy, reproduce, or distribute TaleBuzzer's AI models, prompts, or story generation systems.

You must not use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access TaleBuzzer or generate stories at scale.

You must not attempt to circumvent any security feature, rate limit, credit system, or access control.

Breach of these acceptable use provisions may result in immediate account termination without refund.

Stories generated by TaleBuzzer are created using AI based on your inputs. You own the output stories generated for your child's profiles. You may print, save, and share those stories for personal, non-commercial use.

You must not use TaleBuzzer stories for commercial purposes, including publishing, selling, or licensing them to third parties, without our prior written consent.

TaleBuzzer retains all intellectual property rights in the platform, including its software, design, brand, prompts, and AI systems. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the platform in accordance with these Terms.

The TaleBuzzer name, logo, and brand are registered trademarks. You may not use them without our prior written consent.

The safety of children using TaleBuzzer is our highest priority. All story generation is filtered to prevent the production of content that is inappropriate, harmful, or distressing for children.

If you become aware of content generated by TaleBuzzer that is inappropriate for children, you must report it immediately to hello@talebuzzer.com. We will investigate all such reports and take appropriate action.

TaleBuzzer is not a safeguarding service. If a child is at risk of harm, contact the appropriate emergency services or statutory safeguarding authority immediately.

TaleBuzzer is provided "as is" and "as available". We make no warranty that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or entirely secure. AI-generated content may occasionally contain inaccuracies, repetition, or unexpected outputs. We do not warrant that any generated story will meet a specific educational standard.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TaleBuzzer's total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss including loss of data, loss of profits, or loss of opportunity arising from your use of TaleBuzzer.

These limitations do not affect your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or any other applicable consumer protection law.

You may close your account at any time through your account settings. On closure, your data will be deleted within 30 days in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you breach these Terms, engage in fraud, or use TaleBuzzer in a way that causes harm to children or other users. In such cases, no refund will be provided.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of TaleBuzzer shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Before initiating legal proceedings, we encourage you to contact us at hello@talebuzzer.com to resolve any dispute informally. We will endeavour to respond within five working days.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of TaleBuzzer after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
